Role Summary: Common tasks, qualifications and special skills
Technical
- Manage group of experienced UI Engineering professionals organized into sub-teams, within a large product or a product pillar.
- Delegate direct technical leadership to IC principal level team leads.
- Maintain usability and design compliance score cards
- Mentor team leads.
- Audit quality of team deliverables, through peer and management review processes.
- Review code for opportunities to integrate UI innovations.
Team Building (Engineering Culture)
- Set quality standards, with a deep understanding of the customer's goals, business requirements and constraints. Lead teams to develop insights, define and prioritize opportunity areas, and envision concepts.
- Lead teams to create meaningful customer/user feedback loops. Take ownership of Knowledge & Skill Management.
- Responsible for the development and career growth of the design team in collaboration with HR.
- Responsible for talent acquisition strategy & planning in collaboration with HR.

Qualifications
- Possess 12+ years' experience in UI development Engineering of software products which is preferred.
- Demonstrate 3-5 years.as a manager in UI Engineering, plus experience as an individual contributor and technical lead.
- Demonstrate success and leadership in application of UI Development process for shipping products.

- Build relationships with customers while advising and supporting the F1 Engineering team.
- You will work across every stage of the project lifecycle to ensure that the concepts and development decisions are sensitive to both the needs of users and our customers' businesses.
