Map task flows to identify feature list

Identifying use cases is one of the critical process in discovery stage. Lets take a sample persona of a Field Sales Rep and see how we map their user task flow to narrow down feature list.

  • Roles people play (interactions, responsibilities)
  • Tasks people do (routine, rare, redundant)
  • Artefacts and tools people use (and modify)
  • Cultural influences (explicit and unexpressed)
  • Physical environment (critical, mobility)
  • Insights, observations, breakdowns, design ideas
  • Advantages (what works well currently)
  • User’s problems, peeves, concerns, habits
  • User’s goals, intents, behaviour variables (life, experience, end)

Mobile Enterprise Applications should be simple, highly intuitive to help users quickly complete everyday activities while on the go.
